Accessibility Statement

An accessible website is a site that allows people with disabilities and older adults to browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as all users. Approximately 20% to 25% of the population encounter difficulties using the internet and could benefit from more accessible internet content, according to a study conducted by Microsoft in 2003.

Nargis Medical Center Ltd. believes in and works towards equal opportunities in the online space for people with various disabilities and/or those who rely on assistive technologies for computer use.

Accessible Website Logo The “Accessible Website” logo is an initiative of the Accessibility Israel Association and the Israeli Internet Association. The logo is placed on websites that have undergone the necessary adjustments to make them accessible to people with disabilities. Its purpose is to raise public awareness of internet accessibility and inform the site’s visitors about its accessibility level.

Website Accessibility This site complies with the Accessibility Regulations for People with Disabilities (Adjustments for Accessibility to Services), 2013. The site meets the Israeli Standard (IS 5568) recommendations for internet content accessibility at AA level and recommendations from W3C’s WCAG 2.0 document. Additionally, it is optimized for display on common browsers and for use on mobile phones.

Implemented Adjustments This site has undergone meticulous accessibility adjustments, including semantic and informative implementation for assistive technologies, keyboard navigation and operation only, as per recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), color adjustments, and the addition of helper tags and instructions in forms for all users. Implemented Features on the Site We have added an accessibility component that allows font size control, block bypass, screen reader guidance texts of the type nvda and jaws, keyboard navigation to facilitate browsing on the site without mouse use, adjustments to ensure site compatibility with screen readers of the type nvda and jaws, creating comfort for viewing the site in black and white/contrast colors, blocking animations and all site moving parts, and highlighting links.
